Responsible for content under § 18 MStV and equivalent national provisions: the founders of the Mosaic cooperative. A formal registration number, VAT identification and registered office will be added here once the cooperative entity is filed.

This policy describes how we collect, use and protect personal data when you visit this website or create an account. It is written in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the ePrivacy Directive.

Controller. The data controller is the Mosaic cooperative, reachable at hello@permalab.work. For any privacy request you can use the same address.

Legal bases. We process personal data on the basis of (a) your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) for the network roster and any optional public information, (b) the performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps (Art. 6(1)(b)) for account creation, and (c) our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) in operating a secure website.

Account data. When you sign up we store your email address, a hashed password (managed by our authentication provider) and, optionally, a display name, avatar image, roles, skills, location and the relationship you describe with the project. Email and password are required; everything else is optional.

Public profile. If, and only if, you tick the "I consent to publishing my image, avatar name and location on the network page" checkbox in your profile, we display this information to other signed-in members on the network page and on the map. You can withdraw this consent at any time by unchecking the box and saving your profile.

Location data. A location you set via address search, a pasted Google Maps link, or by clicking on the picker map is stored as a place label and as latitude/longitude coordinates. We do not access the GPS or IP location of your device automatically.

Technical data. Our hosting provider processes the IP address and standard browser headers of each request for the time strictly necessary to serve the page and to detect abuse. We do not build behavioural profiles.

Third parties. Map tiles are loaded from OpenStreetMap / CARTO; address search and the interactive map use Google Maps Platform. When these components load, the corresponding provider necessarily receives your IP address. No data is sold to advertisers.

Retention. Account data is kept for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, we delete the associated profile, skills and location within 30 days, except for data we are legally required to retain.

You have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15);
• request rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16);
• request erasure of your data (Art. 17);
• request restriction of processing (Art. 18);
• receive your data in a portable format (Art. 20);
• object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21);
• withdraw any consent you have given, at any time, without affecting prior lawful processing (Art. 7(3));
• lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77).

We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies and localStorage entries to keep you signed in, remember your light / dark theme preference and operate the site. These do not require consent under the ePrivacy Directive. We do not use advertising or analytics trackers.

By using this website you agree to use it in good faith and in a way that does not harm the project, its members or other users. You agree not to upload illegal, harmful, defamatory or infringing content, not to attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or any account, and not to misuse the platform for unsolicited commercial communication.

All editorial content, photographs and graphic identity on this site remain the property of their respective authors and may not be reproduced for commercial purposes without written permission.

All content on this site is published in good faith and for informational purposes. External links are not under our control; we assume no liability for their content. This site is a living document and is updated as the cooperative formalises its legal structure.
