Join Mosaic
What joining Mosaic means depends on the season you arrive in and how long you stay. A few weeks, a season, a year: each opens a different level of involvement, and a different depth.
Mosaic is not built on a business plan or a five-year plan. It grows out of being in relationship with what is here, and with what is emerging. So the invitation is to walk with us into unknown territory: a period of deep listening, deep attunement and deep connection, with the land, with each other, and with yourself.

Growing into Mosaic happens in stages. You arrive as an Explorer and become a Sailor, sharing the work of the land and the week. With time and trust the roles deepen: Captains hold a domain, Navigators steer the direction of the project, and Guardians carry its continuity and have a voice in the cooperative. Each stage opens when you are ready for it, never before.
Right now
Until March 2027, Mosaic is welcoming people for the long term only.
Short stays and visits are paused while we lay the foundations. The exception is our single events, which are open to everyone and published here as they are announced.

What you may be stepping into.
Mosaic is not a retreat, a workshop, or a finished community. It is a living inquiry and an ongoing act of co-creation: what you find here depends as much on what you bring as on what already exists.
Co-creation
You don't consume this place. You shape it, meal by meeting by project.
A relationship with place
The lakes, the trees, the seasons. The land is not a backdrop; it is one of the teachers.
Power & governance
Who decides, how, and who notices when it drifts.
Radical self-responsibility
Your needs, your yes, your no. Nobody guesses for you.
Radical feedback
You will hear how you land, often, and be asked how others land on you.
Leadership
Not a title. Picking something up and staying with it when it gets dull.
Shadow work
The parts you'd rather not bring get invited too. They come anyway.
Regenerative culture
Land, money, agreements and people as one living system, inner maturity included.
Explorative relational spaces
Held formats where relating itself is the practice, not small talk.
Your alignment
Between what you think, what you feel, and what you do. Gently, then less gently. The questions stay for weeks.
Money & privilege
Yes, out loud, at dinner: what it costs, who has what, and what we do with it.
Conscious parenting
Children are part of the village, and so is how we raise them. Parents here think about it together, out loud.
A small identity crisis
Or a big one. We do not judge the size.
Mosaic Seasons
Crew arrive into a season, not into a blank calendar. Each one asks something different of the people holding it: what the land needs, how many of us are here, how the week runs. Choose a season to see what crew life in it actually looks like.
Autumn
23 September – 20 DecemberThe first rain turns the hills green within weeks.
Days in the low twenties, cool nights, the body ready to work. Expect planting: trees, seeds, the infrastructure that has to be in before the cold: and, around it, the quieter work of integrating the year and planting visions for the next one. Stays of one to three months; we especially welcome those who mean to stay through the winter.

Monday
Captain Meeting
Those holding domains come together to sense the whole, align on what matters, and take responsibility for the week ahead.
These are the spaces in Mosaic
Mosaic is not a village yet, and it is not a luxury retreat centre. Think of it as a land-based laboratory and atelier: beautiful and harmonious in its own rustic way, comfortable, and still very much in the making. What we offer is not a hotel and not a service. The spaces are homes. You are warmly invited to feel at home in them, and to treat them as one.

Join the crew!
You can join us and explore how you can contribute, depending on how long you intend to stay. How deep you go into the co-creation process is yours to decide. Each port opens the next one, and none of them is taken before you are ready for it.
- 01
Port 1 of 3
Application
You share who you are and what draws you here through a deeper application. This is where we begin to sense mutual resonance, not a filter to pass, but the start of a real conversation.
- 02
Port 2 of 3
Interview & meeting
A longer, more elaborate conversation than a visit. We meet each other honestly, explore the resonance, and look together at whether the conditions are right, for you and for us.

Port 3 of 3
Step into being a Sailor
Joining asks for courage: to be seen, to commit, to co-create something that does not fully exist yet. If you feel the pull, trust it enough for one honest conversation.
After the land
The stages and roles you can move through
Being on the land is the beginning, not the whole of it. From there the way opens in stages, each one asked for rather than given, and each one opening after a stretch of time aboard. Together they are the road to being fully part of the project.
