The people of Mosaic

Mosaic is held by a small circle of spaceholders - each bringing a different thread of care, craft, and curiosity to the land and to one another. Some are here for a season, others for the long arc. All are learning, in their own way, what it means to steward a place through relationship rather than control.

Who we are looking for

Mosaic is not looking for employees. We are looking for fellow builders.

Over the years, we have discovered that the people who thrive here are often a little eccentric. They carry a craft, a passion, an obsession, or a body of knowledge that they have spent years developing. They are capable of standing on their own feet, creating things independently, and taking responsibility for their work without needing constant guidance.

At the same time, being good at something is not enough.

Mosaic is an experiment in cooperation. We are interested in discovering what becomes possible when capable people stop working only next to each other and start creating with each other. We are looking for people who enjoy teaching what they know, sharing what they have learned, receiving feedback, collaborating across disciplines, and participating in the messy, beautiful process of collective creation.

If your dream is simply to be left alone to do your own thing, there are probably easier places to go.

If, however, you carry a strong craft and an equally strong curiosity about what happens when that craft enters into relationship with others, then we would love to meet you.

The profiles below are not job openings. They are examples of the kinds of people we hope to attract into the next chapter of Mosaic. Perhaps one of them is you. Perhaps you are something we have not imagined yet.
