The Village
CO-LIVING
Coming aboard from a week onward, to live at a slower rhythm and belong to a caring community.

Overview
Mosaic is currently in a phase of rebuilding. While we are gradually gathering the people who will take long-term responsibility for the project, we are also welcoming co-livers, people who wish to enjoy a slower, land-based way of life in South Alentejo.
This is for people who are rooted in their own work and life, and who are looking for a beautiful place to live, build local relationships and become part of a caring community. You'll have one person of reference to help you settle in.
A day here might mean working on your own projects through the morning, a swim in the lake at midday, an hour in the garden as the light softens, and an evening cooking beside people who are slowly becoming your neighbours, and then your friends.
Before you settle in
What you may be stepping into.
Co-living unfolds over weeks and months, not days, so what you are stepping into goes deeper than a visit.
Life & rhythm
The Rhythm of a Week
Life as a co-liver is guided by two shared gatherings each week. Beyond those, your time remains entirely your own.

Contribution
Your Contribution
Co-living is an invitation into land-based living. We hope you bring your own projects, passions and rhythm, while also helping care for the shared life of the place. Beyond your monthly contribution, we simply ask you to look after the common spaces, join a few collective moments, and stay open to sharing your gifts whenever they naturally want to emerge.
The longer we live together, the more life organises itself. Friendships deepen, collaborations appear, and everyone's gifts begin to weave together. We love when people use the land and its spaces to bring the valley a little more alive—through music, workshops, shared meals, conversations or whatever genuinely wants to happen.
Typical stay: One month or longer.
Contribution: Approximately €300–€750 per month, depending on the space and level of privacy.
How it works
Becoming a co-liver.
Co-living begins with a conversation, not a contract. Four steps to find your place in the village.
- 01
Step 1 of 4
Get in touch
Write to us with a short introduction: who you are, when you'd like to come, and how long you're thinking of staying. No formal application, just enough for us to prepare a space and a warm welcome.
- 02
Step 2 of 4
A brief conversation
We'll set up a short call or exchange to answer your questions, share practical details, and make sure we're a good fit for each other at this moment in time.
- 03
Step 3 of 4
Choose your space and settle in
Once we've found the right dates, you book your accommodation, receive everything you need to arrive, and begin settling into the rhythm of the village.
- 04
Step 4 of 4
Find your footing
Your person of reference helps you orient in the first days: where things are, how the week flows, and who to talk to. After that, the place speaks for itself.
