The Village
VISITING
Coming ashore for a few days, to feel the land, meet the people, and decide nothing at all.

Overview
We're always happy to welcome people who feel curious about Mosaic.
Whether you're simply passing through, wanting to learn about alternative ways of living, or wondering how your path and the one of mosaic could come together, a visit is an opportunity to experience the land, meet the people, and discover the rhythm of everyday life.
A few days here might look like coffee by the lake at first light, hands in the soil of the garden, a long shared dinner, conversations that wander into the night, and the particular quiet of land slowly being brought back to life.
Mosaic is not a retreat centre, a boutique hotel, or a finished community. It is a living village in the making.
Before you come
What you may be stepping into.
Rather than a perfect experience, we hope to offer an honest one. If you leave with a deeper appreciation of what it actually takes to build trust, regenerate land, and create a village together, your visit has already been worthwhile.

Contribution & Reciprocity
At Mosaic, we don't understand contribution simply as payment. We understand it as reciprocity, which can take many forms: time, practical help, knowledge, care, creativity, responsibility, financial support, and long-term commitment.
People who stay for longer naturally begin to contribute in many of these ways, becoming part of the everyday life of the village. During a short visit there is less opportunity for that wider exchange, so financial contribution becomes the primary way of participating in the reciprocity.
Your contribution is not simply for the room, apartment, or camping space you occupy.
It helps care for nearly 20 hectares of regenerating land, maintain shared infrastructure, water systems, gardens and common spaces, while supporting the many visible and invisible acts of stewardship that allow this place to exist.
It also helps sustain something less tangible: a culture built on care rather than transaction. Many of the conversations, shared meals, welcoming moments, mentoring, and acts of hospitality that give Mosaic its character are not commercial services. They arise because people freely invest their time, attention, and love into this place and into one another.
Thank you for helping sustain not only a place, but the ongoing practice of creating a village together.
